What it is
SPIE Photonics West is an optics and photonics event with more than 100 conferences, over 60 technical courses and two exhibitions. The BiOS Expo (30-31 January) covers biomedical optics and biophotonics. The Photonics West Exhibition (2-4 February) is the largest photonics exhibition in North America, according to SPIE, and includes Quantum West, Vision Tech and AR/VR/MR. The 2027 edition adds the Embedded Vision Summit.

SPIE expects more than 4,500 presentations across six technical areas, so many attendees come for the technical program. A separate Global Business Forum is aimed at industry executives and needs separate registration.
