What it is
FABTECH is North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. It fills McCormick Place with laser, press, welding, tube and pipe, finishing and automation equipment, plus a large education programme. The show rotates between cities, and the 2027 edition returns to Chicago after the 2026 edition in Las Vegas.
Who attends
Fabricators, metal formers, welders, finishers and manufacturers, with buyers of machines, consumables, automation and software. The five event partners are the American Welding Society, the Industrial Finishing and Coating Association, the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, the Precision Metalforming Association and SME. Admission is free to members of the partner groups.

Can I get the attendee list for FABTECH?
