What it is
CMTS is Canada's national manufacturing technology show, held every two years at the Toronto Congress Centre and run by SME. It shows machine tools, tooling, automation, additive manufacturing and smart manufacturing equipment running live. The 2027 edition has four days and includes the Smart Manufacturing Experience, RAPID + TCT Showcase, AeroDef Manufacturing Showcase and CleanTech Zone.

Owners, executives, production managers, engineers and purchasing teams in Canadian manufacturing. The 2025 post-show report lists manufacturing (42.0%), automotive (11.3%) and aerospace (6.2%) as the top sectors, with 82% of attendees at engineering level or higher. The organizer says 74% of attendees take part in purchasing decisions.
