What it is
SPS Italia is the Italian automation and digital manufacturing trade fair, held every year in Parma since 2011. The 2027 edition is the 15th. Exhibitors cover drive systems, sensors, control technology, industrial PCs, human-machine interfaces, robotics and industrial software. A Digital District in halls 4, 7 and 8 covers industrial IT, AI, start-ups and education.
Who attends
Visitors are mostly Italian manufacturing professionals. In the 2026 visitor analysis, 96.2% came from Italy, mainly Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Veneto. By business activity, 48.1% were OEM or machine builders, 14.4% end users and 14.3% system integrators. By job function, 38.3% were in technical areas and 18.1% in general management. Electronics and electrical engineering (16.8%), automotive (11.8%) and machine tools and robotics (10.5%) were the largest sectors.
