What it is

MEDICA is a large annual trade fair for medical technology, diagnostics, digital health and hospital equipment. It runs together with COMPAMED, the supplier fair for medical device manufacturing, in the same halls and on the same dates. The 2026 edition adds a main stage, shows the Hospital of the Future as an integrated hospital setting instead of individual stands, and hosts a wearables conference.

Hospital buyers, clinicians, distributors, lab managers and procurement teams, plus device makers and their suppliers. The organizer reported 78,000 trade visitors in 2025 and said three quarters of them are in top management of their organizations. It also said 75 percent of the trade visitors traveled from 160 countries.
